Position is suitable for both Basic & Advanced training in Rehabilitation Medicine.

Under limited direction of the Clinical Director you will:

  • Provide daily management of patients admitted under their supervising unit with the assistance of a junior medical officer and supported by senior specialist staff.
  • Participate in the provision of ambulatory medical care to patients visiting the outpatient service of the hospital, and maintain a logbook of these encounters as part of your clinical training.
  • Support and participate in the Rehabilitation Medicine physician trainee education programme.
  • Supervising junior medical staff and ANU medical students, performing their duties within the units.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • An Australian MBBS medical degree or equivalent with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Where required be registered under the Working for Vulnerable People Act.
  • Sufficient experience to supervise junior medical staff independently

The successful applicant will need to be available for occasional weekend and after-hours work.
