Saturday Session – NSW trainees – 6 April 2024 – Westmead Hospital

Saturday 6 April @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

RSVP Saturday Session – 6 April 2024 – Westmead Hospital
Date: Saturday 6 April – 9am – 12pm
Venue: Westmead Hospital, Clinic rooms of CAYAH – Centre for Adolescent and Young Adult Health, located in E Block – Level 2 (Nearest to K Block).
Provisional Timetable
0900 – 1100 – OSCE stations
1100 – 1200 – Feedback and opportunity for discussion

8 OSCE stations are planned over 120 minutes travelling in groups of 1-3.
Each station is 10 minutes in duration. Reading time and changeover will approximate to 5 minutes.
Feedback will be available at the end of the session.

All NSW AFRM trainees are welcome to attend the session, at any level of training.

In 2024 it is intended to maximise face to face education opportunities through site based teaching, as development of physician qualities in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are best developed through practical experience. However, trainees unable to attend in outer metropolitan areas or interstate may alternatively register using this form for release of the mock exam materials after the session for your own study groups.

A further session is planned before the FCE exams in 2024 and non exam based site based teaching sessions are intended throughout the year.
If you wish to be notified of these sessions and other learning opportunities, you may request this in the this RSVP.

Please note this is not an official AFRM activity and is run by volunteers drawn from AFRM fellows and senior trainees who have completed the FCE. These volunteers are not contributors to the writing of the examination.

This is an opportunity to simulate the structure of exam conditions, but questions and feedback are not standardised by the process utilised by AFRM. It is recommended that candidates review the AFRM site https://www.racp.edu.au/trainees/examinations/afrm-fellowship-clinical-examination-general, including sections on marking and professional quality scoring/global ratings.
