About the speaker: Jess started working in the disability sector as a support worker 25 years ago, and worked in the field whilst progressing through nursing and medical studies. Medicine initially took her down the path of general practice, and she co-founded Adelaide Disability Medical Services, providing a hybrid model of clinic and community health care. She has recently completed training in rehabilitation medicine, and holds the position of Chair of Disability Governance, South Australian Local Health Network. She is working towards improving health outcomes for adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities, by encouraging a collaborative approach between primary and tertiary care. She is acting president of the Australian Association of Developmental Disability Medicine, and council member for the National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health.

August 29th, November 28th - all the last Thursday of the month at 5.30 - 6.30pm (AEST)
Suggested format:
- 2 articles to be presented - 5-10 mins for presentation (PowerPoint or other visual aid) then 15-20 minutes for discussion
- It would be good to have a theme for the papers
- The presenters will send the proposed articles to us at least 3 weeks before the meeting for distribution and review (ideally first week of the month)
- A Microsoft Teams invite will then be sent with the articles
- If no papers are proposed the co-chairs will choose articles and distribute
- The presentation should have limited slides with basic information and main points
